This 90-story glass tower, a collaboration between Christian de Portzamparc and SLCE Architects, sets a high standard for the city’s growing number of “supertalls.” With its waterfall-like curtain wall, curved apex that is echoed in the smaller setback curves, and patterned eastern and western facades that shift depending on the time of day, it conveys a sense of movement and dynamism. Its height—1,004 feet—and glass-curtain walls provide plenty of drama from the inside as well: One57 has panoramic views of Central Park and the entirety of New York City.

Thomas Juul-Hansen designed the residences at One57 with generous layouts, natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows, and high-quality materials that convey a sense of understated opulence. One Collection residences, ranging in size from one bedroom to four bedrooms, are turnkey: they come fully furnished with everything from custom living rooms to DUX and SFERRA linens. In a select few units, the master bathrooms have a one-ton bathtub carved from a single marble slab. Kitchens include custom cabinetry and Miele appliances.
