Floor-to-ceiling glass adds to the translucent, riverine nature of these Foster + Partners condominiums, simultaneously allowing residents the full benefit of natural light, plus some astonishing views. Vistas of the power station, the river, and London at large can further be enjoyed from private winter gardens, gifted to almost every single residence, while some also benefit from alfresco terraces.

Foster + Partners has designed the interiors of Battersea Roof Gardens’ 436 residences to reiterate the condominiums’ contemporary, free-flowing exterior. Cool, open-aspect living spaces make the most of the floor-to-ceiling glass, reflecting the natural light and appealing to residents with a penchant for the modernist sensibility. Two palettes are offered: “Steam” ushers in calming beige cabinetry and splashbacks in the kitchen, a strip of ivory back-painted glass tiles in the bathroom, and brushed brassware. Meanwhile, dark grays and polished chrome characterize “Cloud”—a broodier but just as stylish color arrangement.
