An icon on an iconic avenue—this was the idea behind 57 Ocean Miami Beach, an oceanfront condominium development on a historic stretch of the Atlantic known as Millionaires’ Row. To execute his vision, Brazilian developer Jose Isaac Peres tapped acclaimed Miami architecture firm Arquitectonica, which is responsible for some of the city’s most recognizable buildings, and Brazilian interior architects Anastassiadis Arquitetos. The tower exudes a quiet confidence, at home among its neighbors but also set apart by an undulating facade created by the slightly curved balconies affording views of the Atlantic Ocean, Biscayne Bay, and Downtown Miami. Thoughtful, expansive living is the theme in both the interior design and the amenities, which include a wellness pavilion and an indoor-outdoor fitness center.

Fortune International GroupAbout 57 Ocean
Every aspect of the design, from the use of materials to the graceful shape of the exterior and the flow of the interiors, is inspired by the setting—directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Grand vertical gardens lead from the porte-cochere through a double-height lobby clad in natural stone, past pools and meditation gardens, to the sand and the water. The most prominent features of the 18-story tower are the glass balustrades, which give the building its curvy shape and provide spectacular views in every direction. While the transition from city to home to ocean is seamless, landscaping by ArquitectonicaGEO provides privacy for residents.
57 Ocean is on an oceanfront stretch of Collins Avenue known as Millionaires’ Row. Once a celebrity hot spot, this serene, mostly residential area between 41st and 62nd Streets offers a respite from the action, with easy access to elegant shops and dining in Bal Harbour, but the entertainment options of South Beach are also just a short car or bike ride away.
Brazilian interior architects Anastassiadis Arquitetos wanted to create spaces that take advantage of the ocean views and encourage an indoor-outdoor lifestyle. All 71 residences make use of texture and natural materials to bring the outside in and include open floor plans, floor-to-ceiling windows, and expansive 12-foot terraces that are essentially an outdoor living room. In addition to residences that range in size from two bedrooms to three bedrooms, there are two each (north and south) of three even more exclusive categories: beach houses, sky residences, and penthouses.
The oceanfront location, on 220 feet of pristine beach, and the panoramic ocean views may be the luxury condominium development’s greatest amenity. The water informs other amenities, which include an ocean-facing deck with two infinity pools. There’s also a strong focus on healthy living. The indoor-outdoor fitness center has Technogym equipment and Mylsle equipment by MyEquilibria outside, and, as part of the concierge service, a Wellness Coach is available to book spa treatments and private yoga sessions or connect residents with personal trainers.

The Cutting-Edge Amenities of 2020
Coworking spaces and top-of-the-line gyms are de rigueur in luxury condominium buildings. But as buyers look to the future of city living, the amenity possibilities broaden.
