With Labor Day quickly approaching, New Yorkers are itching to get in one last grilling session. And while many locals hightail it out of town to indulge in this seasonal pleasure, plenty of luxury residential developments offer the sort of tricked-out outdoor spaces that rival any beach house. Think: landscaped sundecks with sweeping Central Park views, and state-of-the-art outdoor kitchens poised to turn out the best burgers in town. Here are five condominium buildings that offer plenty of summer sizzle.
One Manhattan Square
Overlooking the East River and the Manhattan Bridge on the Lower East Side, One Manhattan Square has 40,000 square feet of outdoor space, which includes several grilling stations and high-top seating. You’ll find a party-ready setup waiting; with an outdoor kitchen, a putting green, table tennis, and fire pits. There’s even an adult treehouse on stilts.

While many of the residences at 208 Delancey have expansive private terraces, the development also offers a communal rooftop terrace with a kitchen, a fireplace, and various seating areas, all overlooking the Lower East Side and the dramatic city skyline beyond. Brooklyn Point
The rooftop pool at Brooklyn Point — the tallest residential tower in Brooklyn — sits 680 feet above the ground, making it the highest pool in the Western Hemisphere. At 27 feet long, the pool also offers nearly 360 degree views of the city skyline, best enjoyed from the surrounding lounge chairs and al fresco dining areas. The landscaped terrace on the ninth floor, meanwhile, is outfitted with an al fresco kitchen with gas grills and plenty of space to dine.
1399 Park Avenue
A Harlem development designed by Hill West Architects and Whitehall Interiors, 1399 Park Avenue sits two blocks from Central Park. Its fifth-floor indoor-outdoor lounge has a sleek wraparound patio complete with an outdoor kitchen, a long dining table, and lounge chairs.
Central Park Tower
The tallest residential building in the world, Central Park Tower soars 1,550 feet above Manhattan and is steps from Central Park. The building is stocked with amenities, including a 60-foot pool area complete with a sun deck, cabanas, and food and drink service. “The Terrace Green,” a sprawling social courtyard, has grilling stations, an outdoor bar, and outdoor film-screening capabilities.
