Italian Design Firm Pininfarina Plans Its First Branded Residences in Mexico
Branson Developments has unveiled plans for a pair of residential buildings that will take shape in Merida, Mexico, with designs by Italian car design and architecture firm Pininfarina. Named Light Towers, the two buildings will rise 17 and 18 floors high along the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, connected by a five-story base to form a “V” shape. The upcoming condominium complex represents the first branded residential project in Mexico from Pininfarina and was recently awarded Interior Design’s 2022 Best of Year Award.
The development’s 121 modular residences will range from two- and three-bedroom homes to four- and five-bedroom penthouses with private terraces and verdant green spaces. Interiors will employ bright colors that are inspired by local hues, and materials are being sourced locally to reduce environmental impact. Light Tower’s amenity package will embrace a “green lifestyle” concept, offering a gym, spa, pool, children’s playroom, cinema rooms, coworking space, a shared terrace, and two bars.
Bentley Residences Announces Residents-Only Restaurant Concept by Chef Todd English
Four-time James Beard award-winning celebrity chef Todd English is coming to Sunny Isles Beach’s Bentley Residences, the world’s first and only Bentley-branded residential tower, to curate his first private restaurant. Known for his restaurants—including Olives, Figs, and The Pepper Club, his Vegas outpost within The English Hotel—and his appearances on Food Network, PBS, and shows like Top Chef and Iron Chef, English is set to feature fresh cuisine in the private amenity’s casual, yet sophisticated dining environment.
“Every aspect of Bentley Residences has been so thoughtfully designed to perfection and I’m incredibly honored for this opportunity to partner with Gil Dezer and further elevate the luxurious lifestyle through unique culinary creations for residents,” said English. “We’re excited to provide a curated experience with rotating seasonal menus that will make dining at Bentley Residences a joy for residents and their guests.”
Located on the lobby level and offering views of the development’s pool and exposures of the ocean, the restaurant will be open to residents for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and available for private catering, as well as poolside dining. Chef Todd English will make appearances for select residents-only events, such as food and wine pairings and demonstrations. The menus will rotate seasonally, and a curated menu will also be available for in-residence dining.

Financial District Condominium Jolie Secures LEED Silver Designation
Jolie, the 500-foot-tall Financial District tower by FXCollaborative, has been awarded LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. This rating indicates that a building has significant healthy, efficient, carbon- and cost-saving features (and uses safe building materials), enabling it to use less energy and fewer resources.
At Jolie, green strategies were incorporated to achieve energy efficiency and provide healthy indoor environments. The boutique glass tower’s 90 residences come complete with white oak flooring, oversized windows with views of the Hudson River and New York Harbor, custom kitchens designed by Deborah Berke Partners, and primary bathrooms with radiant-heated floors.
Jolie’s suite of amenities is expected to be completed in the coming months and will include a top-floor lounge known as Cloud Club 77, a private dining room, a children’s playroom, a double-height fitness center, and a multipurpose game room.
