Robert A.M. Stern’s Next New York Project Debuts From $7.95 Million
A new Robert A.M. Stern Architects residential building that matches the firm’s traditional style with the fresh interiors of designer Kelly Behun has hit the market with residences starting at $7.95 million. The building at 1228 Madison Avenue in New York’s Carnegie Hill neighborhood features 14 full-floor co-op residences and a crowning duplex penthouse, New York YIMBY reports. The two- to four-bedroom residences are outfitted with herringbone oak floors and kitchens with Portuguese marble center islands and custom Lacanche stovetops. The building, which is located one block from Central Park and the Guggenheim Museum, also features a communal rooftop terrace and a gym with a training studio.
Interactive Art Coming to 49 Chambers
French art gallery Atelier Des Lumières will bring an interactive art exhibit to the 28,000-square-foot commercial space of NYC Financial District condo 49 Chambers, Real Estate Weekly reports. Currently on display in Paris and Bordeaux, the exhibit features artwork by the likes of Leonardo da Vinci and Claude Monet that is projected onto walls and other surfaces to create an immersive environment. The gallery at 49 Chambers, which will be called Hall Des Lumières, will take advantage of the former Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank building’s unique interior features, like its bank teller counters and stained glass windows.
North London Penthouse With Rooftop Infinity Pool Hits Market
The final penthouse at coveted North London residential development Islington Square has come to market at 4.3 million pounds ($5.55 million), Mansion Global reports. The three-bedroom, four-bathroom residence is the last of the project’s 11 penthouses to hit the market. The 2,137-square-foot residence features a great room that opens onto a terrace, a large master suite with a private dressing room, and a private rooftop garden with an infinity pool and far-reaching views of London. Islington Square is situated on the site of the former Royal Mail sorting office, and fuses the landmarked Edwardian structure with new construction to create a unique residential development spread across three buildings. Amenities shared by residents include underground parking and 24-hour concierge service.
